Calendar Planner Barnes And Noble

It’s a new chapter for this Barnes & Noble that was forced out after 28 years. A popular Barnes & Noble that was set to permanently close after 28 years in business is reopening next month at a nearby location. The bookseller’s Paramus store, once at 765 Route 17 S., is opening in a new spot just down the road at 634 Route 17 N. The new Barnes & Noble will reopen on Friday, Nov. 24 (Black Friday).

“We officially have an opening date! Please come join us for our grand opening on November 24th! We can’t wait see you there,” the store’s social media post read. The space was most recently occupied by Big Lots and formerly housed a Toys ‘R’ Us.

Barnes & Noble announced back in February it would close the original Paramus location on Route 17 because “the landlord has chosen not to renew our lease and will be redeveloping the site.” Customers then flooded the store’s social media accounts with an outcry of support. “We are doing everything we can to find a new location,” the store said at the time.

A month later, Barnes & Noble said it would relocate about a mile down the road on Route 17 instead of closing for good. Barnes & Noble has operated in Paramus since opening in 1995. There are about 20 locations in New Jersey and over 600 nationwide.
